DESCRIPTION:Join scholar Gordon Chang and artist Hung Liu as they discuss the history of ink painting in America in relation to artworks by Zhang Shuqi\, Wang Yachen\, and Wang Jiyuan\, on view as part of the larger Bay Area exhibition\, The Moment for Ink. Providing a historical context for the exodus of artists and intellectuals from China in the 1940s\, and the next generation of artists who left China after the Cultural Revolution\, the talk charts different moments of infusion of Chinese art into American culture.
