Creative Impact: Celebrating National Arts in Education Week

In honor of the third annual National Arts in Education Week, Creative Impact and the Arts Providers Alliance of San Francisco present a Resource Fair and Celebration for educators, parents and families from across the Bay Area. The Resource Fair will feature dozens of arts providers and the celebration guest speakers will include California Arts Council Chair Malissa Shriver, California Arts Council Director Craig Watson, San Francisco Supervisor David Chiu, Board of Education Commissioner Hydra Mendoza, SFUSD Superintendent Richard Carranza, Asian Art Museum Director, Jay Xu, and more to be confirmed. Performers at the fair and celebration will include internationally known musician Martin Luther McCoy, students from multiple SFUSD elementary schools, and more to be confirmed.

Creative Impact is an alliance of arts and education organizations representing individuals and communities across the San Francisco Bay Area dedicated to strengthening, enriching, and improving the social fabric of our community through arts education.  National Arts in Education Week, September 9–15, 2012, provides a central platform for SF Bay Area educators, artists, and arts organizations to engage and connect young people, families, and communities in the wealth of creative experiences available throughout the region.
